Microlise Signs Up To Armed Forces Covenant.

Microlise is proud to become a business signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant, in support of the armed forces community.

With a number of former Armed Forces personnel working within the business, Microlise also supports a number of defence and security customers with our Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS). The company has also worked closely with the Road Haulage Association to create the Road to Logisticsinitiative, designed to support groups such as former Armed Forces personnel to enter the transport and logistics industry and build long-term careers in the sector.

According to Microlise CEO Nadeem Raza,

“We are proud to count a number of veterans among our team, and appreciate the range of transferable skills they have brought to our business. Signing up to the Armed Forces Covenant is something we wanted to do as soon as we became aware of it, and we’re delighted to have formallised our relationship.”

Peter Scott, a former commissioned officer in the British Army and current Microlise Director of Defence & Security would encourage other veterans to consider Microlise,

“The business provides an agile and supportive work environment and with its commercial focus on logistics and cutting-edge technology, offers the ideal career-fit for ex-service personnel.”

Our Armed Forces Covenant includes a commitment to work with the Career Transition Partnership’s (CTP) recruitment service to advertise job vacancies to service leavers; support relevant charities and annual events such as Armed Forces Day and Remembrance activities; and facilitate staff who are members of the Reserve Forces.

About the Covenant

The Armed Forces Covenant represents a promise by the nation that those who serve or have served, and their families, are treated fairly. All 407 local authorities in mainland Great Britain and 4 Northern Ireland councils have pledged to uphold the Armed Forces Covenant. To date over 4,000 organisations, including innumerable businesses and charities, have also signed the covenant.
